Update apps through Senway Store

Senway Store brings supported app releases together on Senway 1. It reduces the need to search different download sites, move files by microSD, or manually sideload every compatible update.

Before checking for updates

  • Connect Senway 1 to vehicle Wi-Fi, a phone hotspot, or another working internet source.
  • Keep the vehicle parked and powered while the update installs.
  • Allow enough time for the download to finish before switching off the vehicle.

Check for app updates

  1. Open the app drawer from the Senway home screen.
  2. Open Senway Store.
  3. Select Check for updates in the top-right corner.
  4. Review the action beside each app.

Understand the available actions

  • Update: a supported newer release is available for the installed app.
  • Open: the app is already installed and no supported update is currently shown.
  • Download: the app is available to install but is not currently installed.

The Library & Car group keeps personal-library and vehicle apps easy to find. More Apps contains additional compatible options. The available catalog and app versions may change over time.

Install an update

  1. Select Update beside the app.
  2. Approve the installation request if Android asks for confirmation.
  3. Keep Senway 1 powered and connected to the internet.
  4. When the action changes to Open, launch the app and confirm your account and library are still available.

App updates normally preserve existing app data, but third-party apps control their own sign-in and migration behaviour.

Senway Store and Google Play are different

Senway Store focuses on releases selected for use with Senway 1, including supported publisher-provided releases that may otherwise require a manual download. It does not replace subscriptions, accounts, licenses, or regional permissions required by third-party services.

System software updates are separate. To update Senway 1 itself, use Settings > System Update.

If an update does not install

  1. Confirm internet access by opening another online app.
  2. Check that sufficient storage is available under Settings > Advanced.
  3. Restart Senway 1 and open Senway Store again.
  4. Select Check for updates, then retry the installation.
  5. If Android reports an app-signature or package conflict, do not repeatedly force the installation. Record the app name and installed version and contact Senway Support.

If an app is not listed

Senway Store is a curated compatibility catalog, not a complete Android app store. An absent app may not yet have a tested build, may be restricted by its publisher or region, or may not be suitable for the vehicle interface.

Before contacting support, record the app name, the version you expected, the Senway 1 software version under Settings > About Device, and a screenshot of the Senway Store result.
