If Senway 1 powers on but does not appear on the factory display, work through these checks in order. Most connection problems come from the selected vehicle port, an existing phone session, insufficient USB power, or a device record that needs to be created again.
Confirm the vehicle connection type
Senway 1 requires a compatible factory screen using wired CarPlay, wireless CarPlay, or wired Android Auto. Use the connection method confirmed for your vehicle and trim.
If compatibility has not been confirmed, stop here and use the vehicle checker or contact Senway Support with the year, make, model, trim, and factory-screen details.
1. Use the correct vehicle port
For a wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto connection:
- Disconnect Senway 1.
- Locate the USB port normally used for phone projection. A port that charges a phone may still be charge-only.
- Reconnect using the supplied USB cable.
- If the vehicle has several USB ports, test the other data-capable port.
A USB port inside the centre console is not always the active CarPlay or Android Auto port. Look for the port identified in the vehicle manual.
For a wireless CarPlay connection, confirm that Senway 1 has stable power, then open the vehicle's Add Device, Phone, or Bluetooth screen and repeat the vehicle-pairing process.
2. Clear the existing projection session
- Turn off Bluetooth and wireless CarPlay on nearby phones temporarily.
- Disconnect other CarPlay or Android Auto adapters from the vehicle.
- Open the vehicle's Phone, Devices, Connections, CarPlay, or Android Auto menu.
- Remove the previous Senway entry if one is present.
- Reconnect Senway 1 and select the new entry shown by the vehicle.
Some vehicles connect automatically. Others require you to select Add Device or approve a projection request. The menu name varies by manufacturer.
3. Restart the complete system
- Disconnect Senway 1.
- Switch the vehicle off completely and open the driver's door so the infotainment system can shut down.
- Wait about one minute.
- Restart the vehicle and wait for the factory screen to become ready.
- Reconnect Senway 1 and allow up to 3-5 minutes for a first or recovery start.
4. Check for a power problem
If Senway 1 has no light, repeatedly restarts, or never completes startup, the vehicle's main USB port may not provide enough power by itself.
- Connect the included Y-power cable according to its labels.
- Keep the data connection attached to the vehicle's projection port.
- Connect the additional power lead to a suitable USB power source.
- Restart the vehicle and test again.
Do not connect unapproved power accessories. Use the supplied cables and keep the data and power branches in their intended positions.
5. Read the status light
- Slow amber pulse: Senway 1 is starting or waiting.
- Solid amber: Senway 1 is ready; reopen the vehicle's projection or device screen.
- Fast amber pulse: Senway 1 is updating or switching modes. Keep it connected.
- Red: Senway 1 needs recovery or attention.
Before contacting support
Prepare the following so the support team can avoid repeating checks:
- Vehicle year, make, model, and trim
- Whether the factory screen uses wired CarPlay, wireless CarPlay, or wired Android Auto
- A clear photo of the connected USB ports and cables
- A photo or short video of the factory screen and status light
- Whether the Y-power cable changed the behaviour
- Senway 1 software version from Settings > About Device, if accessible
